Websites, SEO and GEO (AI search) for architects and engineers
I build fast websites for architecture, engineering and design practices that show the work and make the next step obvious: project pages that say what the brief was and what you solved, service pages that answer what clients ask before they engage you, registrations shown and checkable, and a call-back form on every page. The same pages are built to be found on Google and cited in AI answers (generative engine optimisation, or GEO).
In our Australian AI Overview Index (scan of 23 October 2026, 8 architecture and engineering questions, 3 runs each), Google showed an AI Overview in 24 of 24 runs, citing about 9.4 sources each. An individual business's own website was among those sources in all 24.
Closest proof: a regulated professional-services firm, 32 to 870 Google clicks (28 days, May vs Oct 2026).

What goes on the site
Project pages with the brief, the constraints and the outcome in words, not only photographs, because search engines and AI answers read text.
Service pages written around the questions clients ask: when they need you, what the stages are, how long approvals take where you work.
Registrations shown and linked: "architect" is a protected title, and each state keeps a public register (for example the NSW Architects Registration Board); engineers registered under a state scheme such as Queensland's RPEQ can show it the same way.
Images compressed and sized for phones, so a portfolio site still loads fast.
The rules that apply
Use of the title "architect" and of engineering registrations is regulated state by state. I show what you hold, link it to the register, and you approve every page before it goes live.
A portfolio site still needs a clear path to an enquiry (what makes a site lead-ready), and how long a build takes depends mostly on the words. To be cited as well as found: how pages get into Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. And to get the business itself named, not only its pages: how to get your business on ChatGPT, and check whether it is.

Who does AI name when your clients ask?
The AI visibility dashboard puts questions like these (shown here for Canberra; yours use your city) to ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity and Google's AI every week, and shows which businesses the answers name instead of you:
- Who is the best architect in Canberra?
- How much does an architect cost in Canberra?
- Architect in Canberra available this week

Questions your clients ask first
Examples of the questions each page is built to answer. Your list comes from what your own clients ask.
Do I need an architect or a building designer for a renovation?
What does a structural engineer's report involve for a house extension?
How long does a development application take?
What are the stages of an architect's service?
